the hardest part about fansubbing is finding a translator. not the 12 hours of editing encoding and typesetting.
I am making mp4 file and not mkv file because you want something to play on your psp and ps3 and ipod.

Depending on the textload up to 8 hours.then we have to add the proofreading which might take around a week (i am a working person after all). But I’ll be busy with them for at least a year. Eiken has 5 volumes left. Ditvb is ongoing, wild pitch currently is stalled

We take quality over time. A translation.in 3 hours is no problem, but it is highly possible for interpretation and translation errors to exits. This and the fact that we all live in different timezones with more than 5 hours difference… our real life has peiority as well. Anyways a chapter mostky comes out once a month, so our timeframe is good as it is. Ah and a final matter to mention: we are just 1 cleaner/editor, 1 translator & 1 proofreader in each group. Bigger and faster groups split the work across 2-4 translators… to make long things short: i wouldn’t call us slow
Ah one last thing i already might have mentioned: i am working on THREE mangas at the same time.

the translator is not perfect and I know that. I spend 3 year trying to get a translator to help me with sub. if I try to find a perfect translator it may take another 3 year.
I don’t want to do anything to get my translator mad like add lip a lot of other stuff.

Hey hey.. sorry if my comment had left a negative taste.. that was not my intention… not at all!
I just translate jap. mangas maybe that’s why I am quite senstive to missing parts.. (I am not perfect as well and I know that too)
I only wanted to wish you the best for forthcoming episodes and wanted to leave a more useful comment as “Yahoo! Thx alot..”
That is a hard job I know… (once I subtitled a music video, it took me almost one hour to make those 4 minutes 99% lip sync)
